@thehoosierhuddle I will trust the staff obviously... But its starting to get concerning with how this cycle is shaping up. Obviously guys will flip and were still in the running for a few of the uncommited, but we still need at least a dozen more commits for this class to fill out.
Just looking at other conference teams:
- USC has 13 commits
- OSU has 11 commits
- UCLA already has 19 commits (despite just getting a new coaching staff)
- Oregon has 12 commits
- Washington has 13 commits
- Wisconsin has 12 commits
- PSU has 15 commits
- Minnesota has 12 commits
You look at other top programs and Oklahoma has 21 commits, Notre Dame 14, Miami 11... Were in a spot where we are going to have to make up a lot of ground. This isnt how I envisioned our position coming off a national championship, given how early Purcell committed we've really only gained 3 commitments since winning a title.
@hoosierdaddy I’m not concerned at all. Like I’ve said multiple times, I don’t expect many, if any, commits until June or July.

Cig knows what he’s doing.
I’m sure that is the case, however I wouldn’t mind seeing a commit pop sooner than later.

bummer. thought we were leading there.
@boogie Honestly, I've not felt good about that kid or his recruitment the way he's been stringing things along. I remember thinking fans were being unrealistic when they suggested CDD pull an offer from a kid who hadn't decided in about a week, because I think you have to give kids time to weigh things with such a big decision, but that kid has been around IU for so long, and continued to invite other offers that I thought it might be warranted with him.
I'm just not overly concerned with ANY one HS recruit anymore. I get the idea of a foundation but even getting them in the system in year 1 and investing $ in their growth, doesn't guarantee a year 2, let alone 3 or 4. If a kid has enough passion to join what we have, they will do it. If not, so be it. They can go develop elsewhere on someone else's dime and if they somehow do develop into the player IU would've made them, they will be in the portal for the taking when it matters most.
Kansas!?!?!?!?!?
