I agree with you, Sammy.  I thought Beebe looked like a beast when on the field last year.  I also think Martin is going to be very good.  He may have been playing mostly in garbage time. But he showed impressive speed and was quick to the hole.  I really like them both.

Im not counting on Beebe to be explosive. Until he shows it. Too hard to predict how someone will be after an injury. Especially the first season after, some guys do recover 100% but you dont see it the first year.

I hope, for his sake, hes just as good. I guess these days its much more likely, the medical care is more advanced.

Same with Tyler Morris. Not counting on him. Except he has had an extra 5-6 months. I hope so!

@tammany that’s how rumors get started haha. “Hey I heard Cig has this mystery position, nobody knows what who it is.”

@thehoosierhuddle Like most, I was very surprised we didn't go after an experienced tight end, after how productive and important they have been the last 2 years. I know folks don't want to believe Cig promises or guarantees starting spots to anyone, but without another portal prospect it makes me think Schott got pretty strong promises he was going to be, or get the first schott at a starting position. Maybe that's the only way he transfers? But, they must feel really good about him.

Did I miss it in the write up, isn't he coming off an injury? Is he currently, or expected to be, full go in the spring?

@kkott Schott had Labrum surgery (Hip) and is out for the spring. Cig said this on a BTN signing day special.

@thehoosierhuddle Wow, makes it even more surprising we didn't try and sign someone. I don't think labrum is an especially difficult or risky surgery, but I think it does take awhile to recover from. Wonder where the staff's confidence is coming from in this group that they didn't pursue someone?

It's a mystery to me too.  IU could have easily picked up another TE in the portal.  But they didn't... and there must be a reason.  Probably confidence in Schott and also one or two other guys developing in the background we just haven't seen yet?

In my opinion, I think we are going to see a position switch to fill the TE spot. My guess it will be a DE.  His name escapes me at the moment but his number is 40. He looked good and physical on special teams. There is no way this position was overlooked by Cig and company.
