Come on. After an evacuation?

Not the same thing.

@thehoosierhuddle Thanks, I had a not so great stream and didn't know what was up with the empty seats.  Assumed people were were just slow to get back to their seats but then it never filled back up the way it was in the first half.

@i love it with these people that don’t even go to the game watching from their couch at home complaining about people not coming back in. It was raining hard during halftime. The area under the stands was very very crowded. A lot of people who had no idea how long the delay was going to be went home. The radar looked like it could have gone on for several hours. We were all surprised when they open the gates and let people back into the stadium. Then the game was going again before we could all even get back to our seats.

@walt542 yeah, it was a very brief delay. We were given a 15 minute warning before play restarted

Good write up.

This one had me nervouse pre-season, but for completely different reasons than I'm currently feeling nervous.

  • Wyatt out
  • Mobile QB
  • Beat MSU at home 38-13

I think IU wins, of course.  But I really hope for an Oregon type game vs. an MSU game.

Get stops on 3rd & long.  Run the ball effectively.  Get out healthy and on to Maryland.

They're playing well with nothing to lose, I assume they'll come out very aggressive.

If we can manage that and punish that aggressiveness that would be great.  Otherwise it could be a tougher game, though the point spread is pretty darn big at -25 so what do I know?

To me the MSU game was a bring the team down to earth game.  As Cig said, he got the teams focus on Thursday following the Oregon game.  I think the team will be focused on the task at hand and ready to play.  But then as already stated above, what do I know.  Time will tell.

I agree with @spfldbill that the MSU game was a wake up call. Cig called the team out again on Monday.

@tammany I believe the spread is so high because of the unknown availability of Nico Iamaleava. While he did play the final drive against Maryland, Tim Skipper was very cryptic in whether or not he'll play Saturday.

UCLA has been playing like they have nothing to lose since the staff got turned over. Fake punts, early onside kicks. We will need to hold onto our butts for this one, they will come swinging.

Offensively, I think we will be able to put up a lot of points on them. Defensively, this might be a challenge. Nico had to get a MRI yesterday even though he finished out the game winning drive for UCLA. If he cant run, our defense should be able to clamp down on this UCLA squad. If he is still mobile, we could be in for a test. The spread seems high to me, but I think it also points to Vegas thinking Nico wont be close to 100% even if he does play.

Im grateful we got Big Noon, this game will feel like its a 9am kick off for them

The spread certainly surprises me. It seems seven to ten points too high (if their qb is a full go).

Have no idea what all goes into setting the spread but would think they use all games played this season.

If so, it would seem more prudent to use just the last three games for UCLA. Certainly a much different team than the first four games.

Lots of fun digging into these numbers. Big takeaway here is that UCLA's rushing attack could be further exposed by our front. They don't block the run well, giving us an opportunity to command the game.
