Some might remember I have long advocated for the four primary/traditional NYE bowl games of my youth be integrated into the CFP in some fashion. I originally called for an 8 team playoff, starting with those four bowls and then the semis and finals going to Fiesta and elsewhere. Looks like they listened to me, for the most part.
The Quarterfinal games this season are as follows: Cotton Bowl (December 31), Orange Bowl (January 1), Rose Bowl (January 1) and Sugar Bowl (January 1). The Fiesta Bowl and Peach Bowl are the College Football Semifinals and the National Championship Game will be held in Miami on January 19.
