Indiana Lands 4-Star Offensive Lineman Mason McDermott

The Indiana Hoosiers secured a commitment from four-star offensive lineman Mason McDermott, a 6'7", 285-pound player from Noblesville High School, after he visited over the weekend. Ranked 305th nationally and 5th in Indiana, McDermott is the second four-star recruit in Indiana's 2027 class.

The Indiana Hoosiers landed their second commitment from a weekend full of official visits as four-star offensive lineman Mason McDermott pulled the trigger for the Hoosiers Sunday afternoon. McDermott, out of Noblesville High School in Indiana, is rated a four-star prospect by 247Sports Composite ranking and 305th nationally (5th in Indiana).

Indiana was one of four official visits McDermott had scheduled, along with Northwestern, Missouri and UCLA. He held offers from 18 total schools.

McDermott is the sixth member of Indiana’s 2027 class and the second four-star prospect of the class. He had been at IU many times, including their spring game in April.

McDermott is list at 6’7″ and 285 pounds. He has the length to play tackle, where he did in high school. He can overpower defenders and is quick enough to get his hands on edge rushers as well.
