Darian DeVries is adding the final touches to Indiana’s 2026-2027 roster. Just days after German international Clemens Sokolov committed as a backup big man, the Hoosiers added a depth piece at guard as former Maryland Eastern Shore player Justin Monden became scholarship player number 12. Monden is a 6’0” player who spent one season at UMES after playing for two years at Georgia Southwestern State. He averaged 6 points per game, 1.6 assists and 1.2 rebounds per game for the Hawks.
Monden has one year of eligibility remaining and is expected to be a veteran player who can provide decent competition in practice and be relied upon in case of emergency at guard. The Hoosiers now have one scholarship remaining. That spot is expected to be filled by a similar caliber of player, possibly to add practice depth to the frontcourt. Monden will almost certainly be behind expected starting point guard Markus Burton as well as backcourt pieces Bryce Lindsay, Darren Harris, Prince Alexander-Moody and Jaeden Mustaf.
