The Hoosiers will get a familiar face back in the receivers room for 2025 as E.J. Williams withdrew his name for the transfer portal on Friday. Williams announced that he was opting for surgery and to preserve his final year of eligibility back in October.

In a post on X, Williams said:

Williams transferred to IU from Clemson prior to the 2023 season. In his two years with Indiana he has played in 12 games and made 25 catches. Williams has battled injuries his entire college career, but hopefully is able to be 100-percent healthy for 2025. The Hoosiers will lose a lot of production from their wide receivers after the 2024 season concludes.
