The Indiana Hoosiers are red hot on the recruiting trail as they added their second commitment of the day and their tenth for the 2019 recruiting class. Shortly after long snapper Sean Wracher pledged a commitment to Indiana, linebacker Dorian Jones joined the class. While linebacker is not a huge priority for this class, Tom Allen and his staff targeted a few outside linebackers (or "Stingers") and Jones was at the top of the list. He is a three-star prospect from Oxbridge Academy in West Palm Beach, Florida and he chose IU over offers from South Florida, Kentucky, Syracuse, Temple and several others.

Jones is considered a good athlete but his best attributes right now are his physical tackling and football instincts when tracking the ball. At 6'0" and nearly 220 pounds, he draws comparisons on film to the recently graduated great, Tegray Scales. He certainly has a long way to go to match Scales but the talent and skillset is there.

"It was a great visit overall. They really set a tone for the other schools," Jones told Peegs.com's Matt Weaver. "I was really impressed with the strength and conditioning coach (Dave Ballou). He talked a lot about their player development and what he'd be doing and what he's been doing with the players and the progress they've made."

This is a very nice addition to the quickly growing class and IU has now landed some of their very top targets at each level of the defense. Since Friday, IU has added Jeramy Passmore, Matthew Bedford, Larry Tracy, Michael Katic, CJ Person, Sean Wracher and now Dorian Jones. There are probably around ten spots remaining the class and IU will continue to focus on the offensive and defensive lines for a chunk of those spots. A couple of wide receivers, a quarterback, a versatile and quick running back, a safety and perhaps a Husky like in-state player Cam Williams appear to make the most sense in terms of need. Make no mistake though, it has been a very impactful five days for the IU football program.
