Well it's official, Khalil Bryant is now committed to the Hoosiers as part of the team's 2016 recruiting class. Coach Wilson tweeted out his customary #Boom with an area code of #904, signifying that the Hoosiers had picked up a commitment from Jacksonville, Florida.  While Bryant indicated via Twitter on Saturday evening that he had pledged to the Hoosiers, many were anxiously awaiting confirmation from Wilson.

The 6-foot, 190 pound athlete plays close to the line for First Coast High School, often providing the Buccaneers with an eighth defender in the box. Bryant demonstrates great ability for reading and reacting to plays, quickly diagnosing what the opposing offense is attempting to do. He's also a very physical hitter, shows off great closing speed, and is able to get penetration, frequently blowing up plays in the backfield. While he does not spend a lot of time in pass coverage, he still looks to have a nose for the ball, jarring the ball lose from receivers hands during his HUDL highlight film.

In addition to Indiana, the three-star prospect had offers from Army, Kent State, Louisiana-Lafayette, Mercer, North Carolina, South Alabama, Wake Forest, and Western Kentucky. According to 247Sports composite rankings, Bryant is the 167th best player in Florida and the 77th best safety in the nation.
