The Indiana Hoosiers had one of their signees, kicker Charles Campbell, play in the prestigious U.S. Army All-American Bowl on Saturday afternoon. The game features some of the best recruits in the country and was televised nationally on NBC. Campbell's West team knocked off the East 17-16 as he accounted for five points.

Campbell's day got off to a rough start as he knocked the opening kickoff out of bounds and missed his first field goal (shown below).

However, Campbell shook off what could have been early nerves to score the game's first points with a 32-yard field goal and give the West a 3-0 lead mid-way through the first quarter. Campbell would add two extra points on second half touchdowns.

Campbell signed with the Hoosiers on December 20th out of Jackson, Tennessee. According to Kohl’s, an organization who runs kicking camps all over the country, rates Campbell as a five-star prospect and the eighth best kicker in the country. Here is what they say on his Kohl’s profile page:

Campbell had excellent showings at the 2016 Southern Winter Showcase, the 2017 Underclassman Challenge, the 2017 Texas Showcase, and then the National Scholarship Camp. He charted well on field goals at every event including only missing one kick out of 27 attempts in July at the NSC. He looked dominant during the FG competition phase at the UC Challenge in Jan of 2017. He is a confident and talented field goal kicker, who has great command of his body and his ball striking. His kickoffs have improved as well, he might be the most game ready player in this class!
