The Hoosiers picked up their second commitment of the day Thursday evening when Ohio quarterback Broc Lowry announced he was choosing the Hoosiers over offers from Iowa State, Buffalo, Toledo and Western Michigan. Lowry is the third member of the Hoosiers 2023 class.

A six-foot-three quarterback from Canfield, Ohio is rated as a three-star prospect by 247Sports. Lowry participated in the Elitle11 Camp in Ohio in April and 247’s Allen Trieu had this to saw about the prospect. “We liked what Broc Lowry of Canfield (Ohio) did also. He is an athletic prospect who can throw on the move.”

A mobile quarterback who is able to throw on the run would fit well in Walt Bell’s offense. Lowry made his announcement on Twitter saying:

I am blessed to announce my commitment to Indiana University! I couldn’t have done it without the help from my parents, teammates and coaches. I would personally like to thank Coach Pav, Coach Cochran, and Jim Ballard for helping me out through this proscess, along with developing me as a player and a person. Huge thanks to Coach Bell and Coach Allen for the opportunity to play at the next level. Go Hoosiers 🔴⚪️ #LEO
