Countdown to Kickoff: #61– Nick Ramacca
Height: 6’2”
Weight: 282 pounds
Hometown: Bohemia, NY (Connetquot)
Class/Position: RS SO/OL
The redshirt sophomore from New York walked on to the IU program during the 2015 season after a successful high school career where he earned 2014 All-Division 1 honors. Ramacca also played three years of lacrosse at Connetquot. He redshirted his first season on campus.
Ramacca made his IU debut in a win at Rutgers in 2016, his only appearance thus far as a Hoosier, however he is a two-time Scout Team Player of the Week.
Heading into 2018 Ramacca has a chance to be a depth piece at center as he got most of the second team repetitions during spring practice with projected starter Nick Linder sidelined. While a little under-sized at 282 pounds, Ramacca brings toughness and athleticism to the offensive line room. He will be behind Nick Linder and Hunter Littlejohn at center as Harry Crider spent most of the spring playing guard.
