Indiana head coach Kurt Cignetti ended any speculation on Thursday night by saying that quarterback Kurtis Rourke will start and play in Saturday’s game at Michigan State.

Rourke missed last week’s win over Washington and the second half of IU’s win over Nebraska with a thumb injury.

He has played at a Heisman candidate level for the Hoosiers this year. In seven games he has thrown for 1,941 yards and 15 touchdowns to just three interceptions. Indiana head coach Curt Cignetti discussed Rourke’s injury after the game Saturday.

The Hoosiers take on Michigan State for the Old Brass Spittoon on Saturday at 3:30pm in Spartan Stadium.
