The Hoosiers landed their second commitment of the week with in-state athlete Reese Taylor announcing his decision to join the Indiana Football program at lunch time on Wednesday. Taylor is Indiana's 14th commitment in the 2018 class and chose IU over offers from other Power Five schools like Iowa, Minnesota, Purdue and Wisconsin.
Taylor is the seventh top-1000 prospect to choose the Hooisers in this cycle. 247 Sports Composite ranks him as 729th best player in the nation and the ninth best prospect in Indiana. The 5-foot-10 Taylor plays quarterback at Ben Davis and has great speed and elusiveness with the ball, however he is projected to player corner at IU.
As a junior at Ben Davis Taylor completed 66.2 percent of his passes for 2,730 yards, 24 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. He also accounted for 961 yards and 23 touchdowns on the ground. For his high school career they dynamic Taylor has amassed 5,835 total yards of offense and 69 touchdowns. Don't be surprised to see Taylor used in special packages on offense or in the return game.
