Happy Friday, Hoosier fans! It’s the calm before the recruiting storm for Tom Allen and the IU football coaching staff as they prepare for 25 official visits and several minicamps across the country. The scout for the 2022 recruiting class and beyond begins when the 15-month recruiting dead period finally ends on June 1.

Happy Friday, Hoosier fans!
In case you missed it, last weekend was a wonderful one for IU football, as former defensive back Jamar Johnson’s name was called as the 20th pick in the fifth round (164th overall), to extend the draft streak to eight years. Although Johnson was the lone Hoosier to get drafted, four others have signed UDFA deals with NFL teams so far—Whop Philyor with the Minnesota Vikings, Harry Crider with the Philadelphia Eagles, Stevie Scott with the New Orleans Saints, and Jerome Johnson with the Miami Dolphins. We’ll keep you posted as more deals reel in for former IU football players.

Former Indiana Hoosiers wide receiver Whop Philyor has signed a deal with the Minnesota Vikings. Philyor was one of the most productive wide receivers in Indiana football history. He was a two-time All-Big Ten selection as well.

Former Indiana offensive lineman Harry Crider has signed an undrafted free agent deal with the Philadelphia Eagles. Crider played in 35 games with the Hoosiers and played both center and guard and was an honorable mention All-Big Ten selection.
