The Reactionary Take: IU at Iowa
I never write an immediate reaction to these games because I need time to digest and watch it again.
When IU beat Iowa in Kinnick on Saturday, I had an insane range of emotions that I am glad I didn’t put down on paper (digital paper, I guess).
Game Wrap and Reaction: No. 11 Indiana 20 Iowa 15
The Hoosiers won a game in a hostile environment and it was an important win as they now are 5-0 and have won the first two legs of this three-game stretch of really tough opponents. IU won, but Iowa dictated the game and Cignetti and his staff had some hiccups that could have cost the Hoosiers the contest.
Sarratt Seals It in Iowa with 49-Yard Game Winning TD
Elijah “Waffle House” Sarratt hauled in 132 yards and the game-winning 49-yard touchdown to lift Indiana past Iowa, cementing the Hoosiers’ 5-0 start and first win at Kinnick since 2007.

Winning football teams find ways to get their best players the ball. Facing an Illinois defense that was touted as one of the best run-stopping defenses in the country, many were wondering just how Indiana would use star running back Roman Hemby. The Hoosiers responded with an effective game plan that got Hemby involved early and often, setting the tone for what would quickly become a blowout victory over the ninth-ranked team in the nation.
