With just 10 days until the Indiana football season kickoff against the Ohio State Buckeyes Tom Allen announced his team captains for the 2023 season.
Through a player vote and some coaches decisions five players were elected captains.
“We had our players vote and coaches, as well. We have five captains for the 2023 season, they’re going to be Noah Pierre, Aaron Casey, Mike Katic, Cam Camper and Andre Carter. Really excited to have those five guys representing our program in that role. Very well deserved. Guys that have come here and many have them been here for many years, six years for a couple of those guys. Then, also having Andre coming in here in January and earning the respect of his teammates by his work ethic and his performance during our practices in spring ball and all and the way he’s worked.” Allen said on a Zoom call with the media.
All five of these players bring certain characteristics to the table that could help the Hoosiers have a successful season.
“Really solid group of guys that have come here and done some great things. Cam Camper to me is just the picture of resilience, and grit and toughness. And Michael Katic just continues to improve and get better as he’s been here and step into a role of leadership. You know how I feel about Aaron Casey, and what he’s meant to our program, and Noah Pierre those two guys represented us at Big Ten Media Days. So, really, really awesome group of young men who I’m excited to lead our team.” Allen explained.
