The Indiana football program held their annual awards banquet on Thursday night to commemorate the 2020 season in which the Hoosiers finished 12th in the AP Poll with a record of 6-2. Tom Allen gave out 19 awards to 26 different players. The ceremony was also highlighted by the inaugural Chris Beaty Award, an award given in honor of Chris Beaty, a former Hoosier football player who walked on to the team and was killed last summer trying to thwart a robbery. The Indiana Hoosiers will be looking for a new center in 2021 as Harry Crider, who started the entire 2020 season at the position has declared for the 2021 NFL Draft. Crider was a senior and had the option to return if he wanted to. He announced his decision on Twitter on Sunday.

Harry Crider doesn’t have to rack his brain to remember the dark days of Indiana football.

Having grown up about an hour east of Bloomington in Columbus, the Hoosier program was always on his radar. Indiana Offensive Lineman Harry Crider Name to Rimington Award Watch List

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana senior center Harry Crider earned a spot on the Rimington Trophy Watch List, the Rimington Trophy Committee announced this afternoon. The Rimington Trophy is presented annually to the most outstanding center in college football.

A 2020 William V. Campbell Trophy semifinalist, Crider graduated with a criminal justice degree in Dec. 2019, and is pursuing his master's in criminal justice and public safety. He was also named to the Wuerffel Trophy Watch List in July.
