Ranking: 3-Star (247 Sports)

The Hoosiers are starting to stock pile young talent at quarterback. After signing Austin King a year ago the Hoosiers signed another signal caller in Peyton Ramsey out of Elder High School in Cincinnati. Ramesy was the first player to verbally commit to the Hoosiers’ 2016 class. He held offers from Illinois, Boston College, Wake Forest, Cincinnati, as well as a hand full of other MAC-level schools.

At 6’3” Ramesy has great size to play in the Big Ten. He will be able to see over bigger linemen and take the punishment of playing Big Ten football. He is a good athlete who can both stand in the pocket and throw down field or scramble and create plays with his feet. On one play on his HUDL tape Ramesy eludes numerous tacklers, runs clear across the field and then finds a wide-open receiver in the end zone. During his senior year Ramsey completed 61.2% of his throws for 2,139 yards and 21 touchdowns. He was also the team’s leading rusher with 876 yards on 131 carries with an additional 11 touchdowns.
With the addition of JUCO transfer Richard Lagow and having Austin King, Zander Diamont, as well as Danny Cameron on the roster, Ramesy will probably red shirt his first season in Bloomington.
