A source confirmed to Hoosier Huddle that Nick Sheradin will be promoted to the position of offensive coordinator. Sheradin has been with the Hoosiers football program the past three seasons. He spent the 2017 and 2018 seasons as the quarterback coach and the 2019 season he coached tight ends. This season he helped Indiana tight end Peyton Hendershot set the school record for catches and receiving yards (622) for a tight end.

The Hoosiers have known that they would have to replace Kalen DeBoer as the offensive coordinator when he accepted the head coaching position at Fresno State in December. DeBoer remained with the Hoosiers through the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl.

Prior to arriving at IU in 2017, Sheradin was a graduate assistant with the University of Tennessee from 2014-16. Sheradin broke into the coaching profession in 2011 as a GA at Western Kentucky where he was promoted to quarterbacks coach and passing game coordinator in 2012. In 2013, followed Willie Taggart to the University of South Florida in the same roles.

In 2017 247Sports.com named Sheradin one of their top 30 coaches under the age of 30.
