Indiana Football Hits the Pause Button Ahead of Bucket Game

Just hours after Purdue canceled their football practice in West Lafayette, the Indiana Hoosiers are doing the same thing. Indiana football announced this evening that the Hoosiers are pausing all team related activities. The Hoosiers did not practice as scheduled on Tuesday. The decision came from the IU Athletics Medical Advisory Group.

“The health and safety of our students, coaches and staff is paramount,” IU Vice President & Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Scott Dolson said in a release from IU Athletics. “In consultation with our medical experts, we decided this is the appropriate decision at this time. We will continue to assess the situation moving forward.”

“No decision has been made on Saturday's game against Purdue” the release also said.. We will update you as more details emerge. The Hoosiers are currently 6-1 and ranked 8th in the AP Poll.
