One of the quirks of college football is the announcement of schedules well in advance. On Tuesday the Indiana Hoosiers announced a two-game series with the Indiana State Sycamores in 2025 and 2027. Here is the release from Indiana Athletics:

The Indiana Department of Athletics announced today a two-game football series with Indiana State. IU will host the Sycamores at Memorial Stadium on Sept. 13, 2025, and on Sept. 11, 2027.
ISU is currently coached by former Hoosiers assistant and son of Indiana’s all-time winningest coach Bill Mallory, Curt Mallory. IU leads the all-time series, 6-0, after it earned three straight victories from 2012-14.
The Big Ten allows its institutions to schedule an FCS opponent in years where they host only four conference games.

According to the agreement between the two schools the Hoosiers will pay Indiana State a total of $975,000 ($475,000 in 2025 and $500,000 in 2027). IU will also provide 250 complementary tickets to ISU. The Hoosiers are also set to host Louisville in the 2025 non-conference schedule.
