Tom Allen and the Indiana football staff closed out a strong month of June by securing the services of three-star defensive tackle Sio Nofoagatoto'a. The six-foot-two 321-pound lineman out of Clearwater Academy International made his announcement on Twitter on Saturday afternoon.

Nofoagatoto'a wrote "All glory to God for blessing me with the opportunities I've been given to choose my dreams. I'd like to thank my mom, dad, my siblings, and my whole family for always believing in me and motivating me through this whole journey. I'd like to thank all the schools that put their time and effort into recruiting me. I'm thankful for all the opportunities I have received and the relationships I've made throughout this process. I'd like to say a big thank you to Coach Keiki for always helping and believing in me. A big thank you to Coach Jesse, Coach Bob, Coach David, Coach George and the whole staff at Clearwater Academy International from day 1 you believed in me and I'm forever thankful to have you guys in my life not only as coaches but as mentors. Overall, I'm thankful for the whole support system that has been behind me. At the end of the day I have to make the best decision for me and my family and with all of that being said I would like to announce that I will be furthering my academic and athletic career at (Indiana University) #LEO #GoHoosiers"

Nofoagatoto'a is originally from America Samoa, a group of seven islands in the Pacific. After a brief time in Australia, his family moved to Clearwater, FL where he played for Clearwater International Academy.

During his junior season in 2017 Nofoagatoto'a made 90 total tackle (69 solo) along with 40 tackles for loss and 13.5 sacks. He is a mountain of a man in the middle, but still athletic enough to make havoc plays behind the line of scrimmage. Fans can watch his HUDL tape here.

His commitment is the 12th for the Hoosiers in the 2018 class and bumped the Hoosiers up to 41st in the nation according to 247 Sports Composite rankings. He is also the fourth defensive lineman to commit to the Hoosiers in this class, a priority for IU this cycle.
