The Indiana Hoosiers landed their first commitment for the 2023 class in linebacker Denzel Moore. Moore is a 6’2” 220 pound linebacker who chose Indiana over 32 other offers. His offer list includes Florida State, Auburn, Georgia, Miami (FL), Michigan, Notre Dame, Tennessee and Texas A&M among others. Moore will start his junior season at Collins Hill High School in Suwanee, Georgia. His primary recruiters to Indiana were Charlton Warren and Kevin Peoples.

He is not ranked by any of the services because he is in the 2023 class. He looks like an ideal candidate for the Hoosiers’ bull position, which is a hybrid linebacker/rush defensive end.

“The bull is the fourth guy all the time at the line of scrimmage.” Indiana defensive coordinator Charlton Warren said. “That position is very versatile because he's a guy that can rush, a guy that can cover, a guy that can blitz and it takes a special skillset to be that position, so I'm looking for that hybrid defensive end/outside linebacker, but he has to be athletic enough and quick enough to drop in coverage, to carry tight ends, to fold. There's a lot of things we ask that guy to do, which make him a very specialized player.”

He played a similar position in high school on defense and running back on offense. He has tremendous athleticism and hand skills. You can see that on display in his HUDL Highlights.
