Hoosier Huddle continues our countdown to the 2015 season opener against Southern Illinois! Today, there are 91 days left. We take a look at a new Hoosier, true freshman Jacob Robinson.

Jacob Robinson

-Height: 6’4”
-Weight: 235 pounds
-Hometown: Westfield, Indiana
-Position: Defensive line

On May 9th of 2014, Jacob Robinson became the first defensive player to pledge his services to Kevin Wilson’s Hoosiers as a member of the 2015 recruiting class. Robinson was a member of the 2014 AP Indiana All-State Class 5A team and recorded 58 tackles with 4 sacks during his productive senior season. The incoming freshman is a good athlete that provides the coaching staff with some positional flexibility as he could see time at either defensive end or at the Bandit spot.

He chose IU over offers from Boston College, Cincinnati, Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota, Purdue and others and was considered the 17th best player in the state of Indiana in 2014. Robinson probably won’t see much playing time during his freshman campaign but his future with IU looks very bright.

Check back at Hoosier Huddle tomorrow as our countdown reaches #90!
