While Hoosier Nation is watching the Hoosiers upset Michigan, Indiana football is continuing to make noise on the recruiting trail. Simmie Cobbs, a 3-star wide receiver according to 247 Sports, has flipped his commitment from Purdue University to the rival Hoosiers. Cobbs had committed to the Boilermakers just a week ago.
The Oak Park, Illinois gives the Hoosiers some size at the receiver position at 6'4" 205 while also replacing some of the depth lost after Kofi Hughes, Duweyce Wilson, Ted Bolser, and Cody Latimer departed Bloomington. Cobbs was also ranked as the 39th best receiver in the state of Illinois by 247 Sports while running a 4.5 second 40-yard dash. Cobbs is the third player to commit to Kevin WIlson's squad today and should be the final piece of the puzzle for the 2014 Hoosier class.
