Super Bowl Sunday is truly becoming a super day for the Indiana football program.  Moments after receiving a commitment from 3-star athlete Will Dawkins the Hoosiers received word that 247 Sports 3-star cornerback Kiante Walton has flipped his commitment from Appalachian State to Indiana.

Walton, from Columbus, Georgia out of Carver High School becomes the 24th member of the 2014 recruiting class for coach Kevin Wilson after taking his official visit this past weekend.  Walton ads great speed (4.46 40-yard dash) to a secondary that desperately needs to improve in that area.  Despite committing to Appalachian State, Walton did receive offers from FBS schools like BYU, Missouri, and Kansas State.  Walton was recruited by new defensive coordinator Brian Knorr and Brandon Shelby.

Walton has the knack to make the big play as seen on the highlight below.  He finished his senior season with 40 tackles and five interceptions.  Big defensive plays are something the Hoosiers are in dire need of in 2014 and beyond.
