Yeah, I miss Macri’s and Mama Grasanti’s Italian food which was right there in the same area.Miss me some Macri's Deli! Moved to the Bloomington area in the early 2000's and loved that place. Great sandwiches, good vibes and great (Large) cold beers! Seems like they always "Hired" quite well too.
If you’re an eastsider, better get to Manley’s Irish Mutt at 10th and Shadeland before it closes at the end of the year.
Big Scecina alum hangout, along with State Cops, IMPD, IFD, and others.

Heh, my old stomping grounds. That pub is the same building that used to be Rocket's Bar and before that the old Fish of Stroh/Fisherman's Cove location from the 1980's. Hart's Bakery right across the street from there made good donuts. There also used to be a greasy spoon right behind Fish of Stroh next to the laundromat and the old Amoco Station.
A good friend will bail you out of jail, but your best friend will be sitting next to you in the cell saying "that was f***ing awesome"
@mcm666 I remember thinking it was probably worth a fair amount of money, and asked a book/memorabilia collector one time via email. He said, nah, not really worth much. Apparently Conroy's father enjoyed accompanying Pat to book signings in his later years and there are quite a few copies around that both have signed. Still find that surprising, because the book signings I've been to, you have to buy the new book and get to bring 1 so how many folks are bringing the Great Santini to a PC book signing that his Dad happens to be at?
