@bradstevens Not the best or not the 2nd best? I'll get in a ring over this one.
So what are we reading? Right now, I'm mostly reading whatever @BradStevens tells me to read, which is currently A Confederacy of Dunces. But I've also got Ellis Peters A Morbid Taste for Bones queued up, which is the first of his Brother Cadfael medieval murder mysteries.
@goat ignatius’ letter to a disgruntled customer is an all time favorite. Limit future correspondence to orders. Yours in anger
@bulk-vh co-sign. Read all the good stuff as a younger guy. Now mostly just watch junk
@bradstevens if you say OUATIH is better than Jackie Brown then we’re taking the gloves off too.
@zekeus will concur. If you think confederacy is funny I highly recommend David sedaris. Holidays on ice is fantastic as is me talk pretty one day.
I know I've mentioned this book before, but if you want a totally awesome story, told by an author at the peak of his talents, read Sometimes a Good Notion by Ken Kesey. I can't recommend it highly enough.
.
For posterity's sake, I just want to reiterate that every copy of the Goldfinch should be collected and burned, along with any computer hard drive anywhere that contains a version of it.
Peace.
@bulk-vh If you prefer a little lighter reading pick up, Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin. It’s excellent!
If you have trouble falling asleep, this works well - Critique of Pure Reason by Immanuel Kant
@thehoosierhuddle as long as we have two forums, might move this one, too
@goat moved. If there are any others that need to be moved tag me and I'll move them
