@bradstevens I feel I should know this, but I'll go with a smaller model of an Audi, Volvo or BMW
@mcm666 seems like a luxury SUV
@qparker feels like a Chrysler 300
@goat feels like a he'd go with something reasonable and not flashy. I'll go Camry or Accord, maybe even Prius
@receipt-keeper I'll go with a Chevy Silverado
@unclemark Civic, Sentra or Outback
@zeke4ahs Prius or Forrester?
@kkott Ford Mustang
@co-hoosier Kia Telluride, Outback (assuming you're acutally in CO)
@dbmhoosier possibly a Ford pick up or GMC Sierra
@vanpastorman Grand Marquis with a I love Jesus sticker
Guessing we have a number of Chargers and Mustangs
@aloha-hoosier an Outback or Prius
I think our most Republican members drive Pickups with at least a couple 2-3 flying US or Trump flags (someone here must have a Cyber Truck)
A few Harley Riders maybe even more
Who is most likely to not own a car or only bike to work?
Oh, @snarlcakes for his love of bitcoin I’ll go Tesla Cybertruck.
Am I close?
When I sit outside at SBX, I guess the vehicles the people leaving would drive, based on their appearance, SUV, pickup, Hybrid, foreign domestic etc. I’m right about equal to random.
Not real close for me. When we were a 2 car family, me Tahoe, stoker, VW.
Now that we are a one- car, Audi, then another Audi.
@co-hoosier You're right, I wasn't close at all. We had bought a used Audi 4 maybe 5 years back. My oldest daughter was receiving her license the following year. We had planned to purchase a vehicle all three of our kids could share over the years. At the time you may recall auto prices were ridiculous. I wanted to buy a used that had some defensive driving automation. The cost of some vehicles were beginning to outpace that of some newer models we would have purchased had their been any in stock. My wifes lease was up but we didn't want to purchase it for various reasons. Long story short we made the HORRIBLE decision to give the girls the Audi. We hated the idea of giving the kids an expensive car for all the obvious reasons. A few months after my kid got her license she totalled the car hydroplaning on a rainy day. Thankfully no injuries, but it was one of the dumbest mistakes I've ever made. And I knew better. It was a decision I never would have made had we not been in the middle of covid. Still my fault.
@unclemark Civic, Sentra or Outback
2011 Ford Focus, purchased four years ago after my S10 got stolen. I had to buy something quick and cheap and this guy had it on Craig's List. He wanted $5K, I offered $4K, and we split the difference. Have had to make a few repairs, but nothing super serious or super expensive.
I've never had the luxury of buying a vehicle based on preference. I've always bought whatever I could find and afford when I was forced to.
@unclemark civic isn’t too far off then right?
LOL. I wouldn't say so, unless you're just saying "pedestrian compact."

ha over a 20 year span i had a discovery, LR3, and an LR4. right now i have a 3 series and a 5 series. when my daughter turns sixteen in a little over a year i'm going to give her the 3 series and trade in the 5 series either for a land cruiser, the lexus version of the land cruiser, or a defender
I hit a deer head on at 55 MPH a few months back and totalled the wife's car. She does alot of commuting for work and the grandkids so she needs something we can count on. So I broke down a got a new (to us, 2 model years old) car for her. I didn't want any input really as it was for her and I will rarely be driving it, but she picked a Subaru Forester. Drives like a dream, but everywhere I look all I see is expensive repair bills when one of it's modern "features" breaks. Puckers my buttshole I tells ya. Put half down and financed the rest for 3 years (will probably just get tired of the payment and pay the thing off next spring).
I still prefer to drive the 04 Buick LeSabre myself, but we also have a 08 Ford Explorer that we use when we need to. But both of them are over 200k miles so I couldn't keep her in one of those for long. My next vehicle will probably be a late 60's early 70's F100 with the 300 inline 6. Something super simple that I can fix myself when something breaks.
A good friend will bail you out of jail, but your best friend will be sitting next to you in the cell saying "that was f***ing awesome"
I have a cute little blue Audi convertible. I adore it.
@mcm666 ha I actually changed it from a BMW or Audi. Both right
@eppy99 Not for me! I hate spending $$ on cars. My 2 favorite features are: 1) it runs, and 2) it's paid for. Literally in the process of selling my '08 Toyota Avalon with 292K (wanted to see it turn 300K, but found what I thought was a good deal on a very well-cared for Avalon) because I bought a 2018 Avalon. Great cars for me. Roomy as heck, good engine with plenty of power for me, and gets 30+ mpg highway on regular unleaded gas. Amazing room in the backseat and trunk too. I've amazed myself at what it can carry. Sad they stopped making the Avalon in 2022. This might be my last one.
@all4you When I'm done driving kids around and don't have to worry about being anywhere I'd love to invest in something classic. Love a 60's era Mustang (red of course).
