My feeders have been non stop for a good month.  Have refill atleast once a day.   Probably 50 of these bastards.  Created a monster.  Almost 10-1 female to male ratio.

@cavanagh I see the same with the predominance of females. But, what I also have noticed is that many of what I think are females might be juvenile/first year males. They have 1 or more, small red dots on their throats that I think probably expands to their entire throat area later. Mine have definitely been more active over the last month, but I don't have nearly as many as you. Yours are going to be heading south before long, or maybe the males go first and that accounts for there being so many more females?

@kkott for sure the sugar king of greene county.  Word has spread.  I think a lot are Juveniles as well.

Well, are you boys (and girls!) up north seeing fewer at your feeders? I believe ours are heading south, but we are still seeing regular visits, but about a quarter of what it was a week or 2 ago. And, I notice different behaviors so I think we're getting a lot of birds that have already started heading south from the northern areas!

@kkott I was gone for a conference in Vegas for about 72 hours so they drank everything that was left, see if any are around tomorrow.
