Diana Taurasi has a new documentary out. Btw, people need to stop jumping the gun on these Docs, Taurasi retired like last week. There was documentary that just came out of the Idaho college murders, that guy took his plea deal like two days ago.
From the clips I've seen it's three hours of of her talking about not being paid enough. Lamenting how she got paid more in her government funded league in Russia. "I had to go to a communist country to get paid like a capitalist".

I don't know the total finances of the league. But they obviously have overhead to cover, right? And they've invested and lost a lot of money over the years and I think it's completely appropriate for people who risk their capital to receive a return to compensate that risk.@bradstevens I don’t think anyone is saying they should get paid like the men, but getting paid a minuscule amount of what the men are making? Where is the money going with many of the teams, and especially the Fever selling out and the tv contracts? It sounds like you just don’t like women’s sports (except for tennis) and that’s fine. A lot of people do and the games are fun, even if you and others don’t think the skill level is high. I love seeing all the families and children there. I don’t think they care.
As McMurt said, don't compare it to the men's league. It doesn't hold. Better comp for persuasion with me is the WWF--I never watch and find it inane. But if the league makes tons of money and they negotiate for a big slice, I wont' have the same reaction as I do to the WNBA players.
Why? Because WWF guys aren't whining, and they aren't playing the sexism card. It irks me anytime that card is played when it is clear that's not what is going on--it cheapens the point and minimizes the issue for those who might have to deal with it. The reason men make more is because they are better at basketball and people enjoy watching those at the top of their skill level. Period. Yet, we have media outlets glowing up the WNBA like it's some amazing level of skill:
