From a lost content standpoint, which thread are you going to miss most?
For me, it's the "It isn't in schools" thread, that documented during my time on the WC ("only" four years or so) the crap that has crept into public education that certain people had been gaslighting about for years.
It was a handy compilation of quite a few specific instances to point to when someone said "Oh that isn't happening anywhere."
PS--I added tags to see what they did and they look very helpful in finding threads.
The Russia-Ukraine thread. It was the only example of us discussing an issue for years without turning into jerks.
The movies , books and tv. I looked back at that one often when I needed something.
The various adios threads where our mutual good will came through, and one post in particular.
The last couple of days with the nudes. That opportunity doesn’t come around often. 🙂
Seriously, I liked the music thread most, followed closely by the Books, Movies, TV thread. The Russia-Ukraine War thread, too.
If you didn’t learn something from those, you already know it all.
The Islam is a Cancer thread
runner up: how do Trans people live with themselves

d’Oh!
I was fond of any thread Kurt started after 9 pm.
Those were always fun.
@jdb, speaking of trans-girls (biological boys) competing and winning in girls sports, the SCOTUS will take a case on it.

The best part of them - never knew what direction they would go. Bashing MAGA, bashing Trump, bashing Libs, bashing Trans... ranting about this and that... kurt don't discriminate

Finally. I thought it never happens @unclemark?
I'm not a legal expert, so I have no idea what the likelihood of those arguments succeeding are, but the quotes in the article make it so practically obvious to me.
West Virginia told the court its “legislature concluded that biological boys should compete on boys’ and co-ed teams but not girls’ teams. This separation made sense, the legislature found, because of the ‘inherent physical differences between biological males and biological females’.”
Ok, so WV is saying biological males have a right to play, but play on boys or co-ed teams. Seems sensible. Meanwhile on the other side...
“Categorically excluding kids from school sports just because they are transgender will only make our schools less safe and more hurtful places for all youth,” said Joshua Block, senior counsel for the ACLU’s LGBTQ & HIV Project. “We believe the lower courts were right to block these discriminatory laws, and we will continue to defend the freedom of all kids to play.”
However, the WV law isn't blocking them from playing; it is simply separating them, just as many other things are (gender, age, grade, etc.). Is Joshua Block going to advocate shared dressing rooms at dance recitals? Is he going to remove grade and age barriers next? Why should Danny Alamonte not have been allowed to throw no-hitters in the LLWS as a 15-year-old when everyone else was 12?
I just don't get it.
@jdb I've never claimed it didn't happen, just that it's not rampant or widespread. I've also said it's ridiculous.
