And as much as I detest the methods used by ICE there haven’t been many casies of apprehensions where the party apprehended wasn’t illegal. I could be wrong but I think it would be all over the mainstream media if it were the case.
I do think the feds continuing with the “we’re just targeting the worst of the worst” is bullshit. They’re targeting the lowest hanging fruit for numbers. People don’t like that. I get it. Maybe I don’t either. But taking to the streets in conflict with that enforcement activity was always going to end one way. In escalation.

Wrong. Minneapolis is an outlier because of Walz and Fry, not because of Trump and ICE. ICE is pretty much the same all over the country. Minnesota and Minneapolis are different. We need to turn down the heat. We’re headed towards something we really don’t want to contemplate - federal officers firing on unarmed civilians - think Kent State - and organized resistance ambushing and killing ICE agents. This cannot end well.
A lot of mistakes and a lot of blame to go round. There are no innocent players in this. I don’t give a fuck what “side” you’re on, everyone is guilty. ICE should stand down when anything dangerous appears, unless someone is absolutely and unequivocally presenting deadly force. Protesters should stand on the sidelines, bearing civil witness, and not ever interfere with law enforcement. The metropolitan police and state troopers should control the middle. Politicians on both sides should shut their damn mouths and stop fanning the flames.
I don’t know how we get there, but I have an idea. Get the “most respected” liberal and conservative to jointly make a national, prime time speech and then go to Minneapolis and walk down the streets and talk to the nation. Here’s where you’ll laugh at who I propose - Barack Obama and George Bush. I, like many, can’t stand Obama. but does he have gravitas? I’d grade him pretty highly. Others think Bush a fool and a dullard. But I rate him up there as well when the chips are down. Your mileage may vary when it comes to these two, but who would be better? Everyone else is too far down the Bozo road.
Appeal to Walz, Frey, Ellison and the other crazies to turn down the fucking stupidity and inflammatory rhetoric. Appeal to Trump, Noem, et al, to fall back. Appeal to the nation to cool it. The media - and I mean all of it, from all sides - stops the galactic gaslighting.
