I guess Minny is having a bit of an outsized ICE presence. Generally interested. Why Minny. Why not Portland or Seattle or LA or Chicago?

Of course it won't help, but that's where we're headed. Pretty soon, idealistic dumbasses are going to be sniping suspected ICE agents. This is the volatile situation our government has created. And, no @co-hoosier Walz and Frey didn't do it. The Trump administration did it. They came into town with overreaction, and then responded to the inevitable tragedy with bullshit and invective. When shit hits the fan - and it will absolutely hit the fan - all of the deaths are on Trump, Bondi, etc.

@goat I’ll quibble a little bit. Frey and Walz haven’t covered themselves in glory from an executive leadership standpoint. They should be separating ICE from the protestors (especially the agitators going beyond mere protest, who should rightly be arrested). Trump isn’t going to back down and since it’s not the 1800’s the federal government WILL win.
as an aside, I cannot condone what ICE are doing at all. It’s borderline, if not outright, thuggery. But Walz and Frey have sworn an oath to protect the citizens of Minneapolis and the state of MN. Egging on protestors isn’t the way.

From what I understand, that's exactly what they did. The staties and locals didn't come in to confront ICE. They came in to stand between the feds and the protesters. And that's what they did, and when the feds left, they did, too.
I'm not saying anything Walz and Frey have done or said is especially great. They are typical politicians. But this situation on the ground, as it is now, was created by the Trump admin, pure and simple.
Some entity is organizing the riots in Minneapolis. It seems to be an old model…or playbook if you will. And they might be getting deep in book

What lawlessness? I haven't seen any reports of anything other than isolated confrontations. I certainly haven't seen any reports of "autonomous zones" beyond the bullshit that the admin is throwing against the wall. What am I missing?

I agree with all that, but where we seem to disagree is that you appear to think the escalation on the feds' part is justified. I see no justification. I watched the video of the dude before he got shot. Nothing he did required that sort of aggressive response. This isn't policing. This is a police state.
What is the final objective of the people screwing with ICE? Other than protecting illegals. I’m not going to be the least bit surprised if it becomes a political movement
