It would seem that Bondi and Patel have perjured themselves. I don't expect anything to come of it though. Trump will likely pardon them.
I'd guess they're pushing for that pardon sooner than later though. Banking on an old, demented, overweight, unhealthy guy who regularly falls asleep in meetings to preserve your freedom is really rolling the dice.

As a general matter, criminal justice records containing accusations against individuals are never public unless subject to a trial or decision by the government to close the investigation because accusations are baseless or can’t be proven.

DOJ has withheld other investigative documents pertaining to this encounter.
Read the statute. These investigative materials fall squarely within the ambit of the EFTA and are legally required to be made publicly available.

If Republican leadership in Congress had a spine, there would be a remedy. But they don't so there's no way to police the shit that Bondi and Patel are pulling. Current federal law enforcement leadership has one primary objective: to do Trump's bidding. They are all above the law. Never thought I'd ever see this in the United States of America.

I agree with everything you said here. I'm not actively rooting for his death, but Trump unexpectedly dying without pardoning Bondi and Patel is really the only way those two will ever see justice because right now they are above the law.
@ohio-guy Only God knows, but I doubt he's going to kick the bucket in the next three years. He is fat and out of shape but he's got the best medical care in the world and he's actually done some things right. He does have a family history of dementia, though, and he seems increasingly erratic. Also, he's at an age where cognitive ability can decline pretty quickly. We saw it with Biden. He may well be a candidate for 25th Amendment intervention before the fat lady sings.

HRC testified today in Congress about the Epstein stuff. I'm at a loss as to why she was called to testify. She knew nothing and as far as I can tell from what has been released, she isn't even in the files. If she was called to testify, so should Melania, don't you think? They're both wives of guys that are in the Epstein files a ton. Bill is testifying next. When will President Trump testify?
Incidentally, I think the 2016 election had the worst choices we've ever had for President. I absolutely couldn't stand either candidate. 2020 and 2024 are right there too. How did we get to this? Should we go back to letting the conventions choose candidates and get rid of the primaries? I wouldn't protest the idea.
Nope. The statute pertains to Epstein crimes, not Trump crimes. If Trump behaved criminally, that is not imputed to Epstein. Epstein may have committed a crime by making the introduction and that is included.
