@bradstevens I've never denied that there are remnants of DEI and I've never said there weren't parties interested in potentially reviving it. And I don't doubt that there are programs still in existence. That said, you can't deny that there are states that have made DEI offices, policies and practices illegal. And I'm not talking exclusively about higher ed institutions, but they were certainly the ones hardest hit. Several corporations have done away with DEI initiatives, scrubbed their websites of DEI mentions and either fired or reassigned employees with a DEI focus. Some of these places still have vague commitments to inclusion - and they should - but DEI as a mass movement or whatever it was is a shell of itself.
And as goat mentioned, the Dems aren't really pushing to reinstate DEI to it's 2010-2024 heyday. That's a fact. There are almost no Democrats getting elected with DEI as a main part of their platform.
That's all I've been saying in this thread from the get go. If I've done a bad job of relaying that, then sorry. That's on me. I'm not lying anywhere in this thread. Everything I've said here is based on experiences and encounters I've had in the real world. I'm not pushing Democratic talking points or any party line.

Au contraire. Democrats are 100% woke. Their never-Trump obsession masks it, but make no mistake, woke is all the Democrats have as the mayors of the largest U.S. cities show. Imagine a Democrat without Trump and you get pure woke. AOC promised woke as she gave us her view of the Democratic future with her Mandami touchdown dance.
