Trump has proven to be a lot of things, but not pedophile. It’s not even fair to say probably at this point. Are we cutting cancer research? Yeah.
Are we terminating grants based upon keyword searches showing they used words like "diversity" or "women" or "African American"? Yeah
Are we targeting the poor with ending SNAP programs? Yeah.
Are we targeting the disabled and elderly with threats to Medicare? Yeah.
Are we harassing green card holders because they look and sound foreign? Yeah.
Are we madly redistricting Texas and other states to rig the midterms? Yeah.
Are we claiming to care about the debt but spending at a crazy rate? Yeah.
Are we throwing gas on the fire of open bigotry and hate? Yeah.
Are we lying about gas prices, egg prices, beef prices, etc? Yeah
Are we lying about what tariffs are? Yeah.
Do we have President TACO? Yeah
Is he a liar, turd, and scumbag of incredible proportions? Yeah.
Is he a pedophile? Probably.
Fair point. Maybe not probable, but certainly suspiciously possible, based on the furious backtracking, changing of stories, covering of tracks, and proven & admitted related behavior, such as the beauty pageant dressing room tours.

The Truth About the One Big Beautiful Bill Act’s Cuts to Medicaid and Medicare
Even your leftist think tank piece can’t demonstrate any actions made to cut benefits but rather enhanced scrutiny around eligibility. I suppose that can be a semantic difference.
- Work Requirements: Starting January 1, 2027, many able-bodied adults (19-64 years old) on Medicaid will be required to participate in work, community service, or work training for at least 80 hours per month to maintain eligibility, with certain exemptions.
- Increased Administrative Burden: The bill increases the administrative burden for both enrollees and states by requiring more frequent eligibility checks for Medicaid expansion recipients and by delaying the implementation of rules designed to streamline enrollment and renewal processes.
- Cost-Sharing Requirements: States are required to impose cost-sharing of up to $35 per service for Medicaid expansion recipients, which could lead to significant financial strain for low-income individuals.
- Defunding of Abortion Providers: The OBBBA prohibits federal Medicaid funds from being used at certain healthcare entities that provide abortions, potentially leading to the closure of many providers, especially in underserved areas.
- Limitations on Immigrant Coverage: The bill further restricts Medicaid eligibility for certain categories of lawfully present immigrants, removing refugees, asylees, and others who have previously paid into the program.
Feel free to argue against any of the above on the merits. But for the love of god stop bleating “millions aRe losiNg their healthcare!”
It’s empty histrionics from a party that wants to bitch about the deficit and bitch about any avenues to reduce spending.

Someone should keep a spread sheet of all these trillions in investment commitments and see how well the countries/ corporations follow through.
A lot of this is
A. Investments over a long time horizon meant to wait out the clock on Trump
B. Repackaging of existing investments and spending plans

Ten years from now, a lot of these guys will be "reorienting our global strategic priorities."
@carramrod Vance will be the nominee in 28. Do you think he is clawing back tariffs? I doubt it. If the Democrats win in 28 they're not going to be incentivized to claw them back. Biden didn't do during his tenure. I'm not sure on the laws, but I believe they have a lot more leeway in how they spend the tariff revenues. I don't see them going away anytime soon unless the courts strike them down.
https://www.marketplace.org/story/2025/08/14/why-did-wholesale-vegetable-prices-shoot-up
Vegetable prices are soaring. Seems experts can’t pinpoint exactly why, but theories hypothesize it could be drought, farm help and tariffs due to imported produce. Article says wholesale prices fluctuate so hopefully this is only temporary.
Did Trump outsmart the experts on tariffs?
Take a guess.

@dbmhoosier they're not going to put an extra tax on their people?
I'm jealous.
I'd like to know what this is referring to. Carney is a pretty savvy operator.
