Stop listing cities in your hit list. Stop doing pointless show of force marches down the Mag Mile like you’re a conquering invader. Stop placing ICE recruitment commercials during Sunday night football.
Just do the business of deportations without purposely drawing attention to yourself. I think it could cut down on the protest reactions significantly and make it easier for ICE to do their jobs.
That is, of course, if Trump’s goal is deporting as many as possible and not simply trolling the opposition.

@carramrod I will add that there is some benefit to the appearance as well: deterrent, self removal, etc. But Trump's motive is just to stick it to the other side, mean-spirited with respect to the publicity of it.

I thought about the self-deportation angle and indeed that’s the only upside I see to this DHS media blitz.
The irony being I think we would rather have those who are willing and able to self-deport than those who wish to stay and evade. Not that we “want” any of them here.

They're doing both. The point is the left radicalizes people to try and stop progress of conservative positions so they'll back down. They do it because it's been effective.
Trump's entire MO is to push forward, which is the correct approach. The lady got killed because she became radicalized through SM and made a really dumb choice, which cost her life. End of story.
Send in more ICE and tell them we're not backing down to crazy socialists. There is no middle ground with these people. I'd prefer to live in a functioning semi-free market country than a socialist hell hole. Those are your two choices.

Constant news of people being dragged out and run over by Ice gives people considering crossing the impression that they place no longer wants us and instead of progressive free home loans and driver licenses we're going to pulled out of work by our hair and shipped back. Why bother. I'll just stay in wherever...maybe try when Dems get back in office.

Good post and I agree. President Trump did a great job with the southern border, but he and Noem are fucking up the deportation piece. Their messaging yesterday was mostly inaccurate and inappropriate.
Trump never fails to get in his own way. If he would just shut up for a couple days that would be helpful, but he just can't help himself.

Many of these ICE officers are insufficiently trained with little to no experience in urban settings. To meet aggressive hiring goals, they're rushing them out into the field with eight weeks or less ("47" days) of training, and that's not enough. At the same time, many of them look like loads who couldn't do 20 pushups.

This is true and is by design.
Yesterday we heard the governor of Minnesota and mayor of Minneapolis say 2 things:
1. People should continue and even ramp up their protests against ICE deportation activities.
2. The governor and mayor have specifically prohibited local law enforcement assistance which have training in deescalation and crowd control. Crowd control is not part of ICE’s mission.
Same for New York, Illinois and California.
WTF would any reasonable person assume would happen with those two orders?
