Weather nerds from Bargersville/Franklin who run some sort of weather consulting firm. Have been around for a several years, using multiple weather forecasting models to predict these kinds of storms. They were calling this one as early as Monday. Just google BAMX weather.Yeah, people were commenting about that during the BAM cast. I was watching Fox59 and at around 7:00, they were showing 4.3" at the Indy Airport, but admitted that had to be waaaaay behind. The BAM guys were making fun, saying that it wasn't the first time. NWS airport then updated to 8.5" while the BAM guys were on, but it was obvious they were still behind.
Who are these BAM people you're referring to?

I like BAM but since I refuse to pay for weather, they aren't much help until day of the storm. Before that their information to cheapstakes is pretty limited. Sometimes from the comments one can get a handle on what they are predicting.

5 measurements just now, 12 to 12.5.
5 measurements just now, 12 to 12.5.
First person measurements around here, I got 8, my coworker a couple miles south got 10. Supposedly up to 12-14 reported in the area in spots.
Just shoveled for the second time today. Plum tuckered, as the old folks would say.
Damn, all my favorite people up in this thread. Hope you all are staying safe and stocked up on canned goods if that’s how you prefer your 🍺.
I should’ve invited you out for my bar b que yesterday as it was sunny, mid sixties. 😎 I was afraid you’d bring Sharon, but a Carmel woman most likely thought ahead and booked a flight to Cancun and hanging out in 3 Up South.
Seriously, I’m jealous. I always love being in Indiana in snowy weather. Have fun, boys, and stay safe and warm. I know GOAT has cracked a bottle of Templeton Rye. 😎

word has it that the B'town libs are blocking all of the plow trucks. They were told they were Ice Agents.
If men were any more stupid, we would have breed for the extinction of women. Proof yet again that WE are the best thing they have going for them.
Barely a dusting here in the powder keg of America. It has been cold af tho... -9 temp (probably 20 below with wind chill) when I dropped of the kids this morning.

I'm not sure what I'm going to do. Neither me or the wife are physically capable of doing any shoveling to speak of and there aren't any roving bands of kids with shovels looking to make some money like we've had in the past. I may be here until the spring thaw.
Woke up for work this morning, almost got stuck at the end of the drive (FIL came over to plow but only did half because his truck died so I finished shoveling yesterday but had about a foot or so of snow drift) went to turn at the first intersection but slid right through.
Turned around, went home, text my boss that I was staying home. It's not the actual snow fall that's a problem out here, its the ice and snow drifts.
A good friend will bail you out of jail, but your best friend will be sitting next to you in the cell saying "that was f***ing awesome"
Dodged the worst of it on my way back from Washington DC and we're under average for snow in Northern AZ. I'm going to Hawaii for two weeks on Friday and plan to play a good 10 rounds of golf with old friends who still live there. I'm going to miss the worst of the winter weather. Yeehaw!
