He's a good guy to have at the forefront of Democratic politics.  He's smart, and pretty good at articulating policy positions, and pretty good at pointing out where opponents are failing...without being a huge jerk about it all.

But there are better "leaders" of the party out there, that Democrats should turn to, and prop up.

His demeanor and intelligence I expect make him popular among Democratic elitists. I'm certainly a fan of him. But I can't see him as ever really appealing to the blue collar Dems. I wish I were wrong. But all I can think of when I see that picture of him in the booth with the beard and the coffee is that profile of Tucker in his garage. At least Pete didn't try to pull off the denim. But he still looks out of place.

Being a fake isn't good, but it doesn't seem to bother MAGA fans of JD Vance, with him claiming an Appalachia upbringing in MIDDLETOWN OHIO, just because one pair of his grandparents from Kentucky were somewhat poor.

But he was raised in Kentucky. Spent every summer there. It’s where all his extended family both on his mom and dad’s side lived going back a century plus. It’s just as much a part of his upbringing as Middletown.

And he was poor. Mother was a drug addict that couldn’t hold down a job. Dad wasn’t in the picture. Raised by his maternal grandfather, a pensioner, and his grandma who didn’t have any income outside of SS.

It’s a true American success story that only angry, sad old men would try to diminish.

Mark Cuban has an interesting theory.

I've never been one of the "we need a businessman in the White House" crowd, but Cuban could change my mind.

Other than the posts roasting his hair-don't, this was the best reply...

Even Daddy made him wealthy Trump got rednecks to think he is one of them.   Interesting they are throwing stones from that glass house.  Although unclear how growing a beard makes someone fake.

At least Pete is smart, not corrupt and isn't an ***hole (at least publicly....can't vouch for behind the scenes but seems like a nice guy from hearing him).

Buttigieg was awful, but I see why he appeals to many because of demeanor and abstract intelligence.  He was consumed with green transportation, transit/mobility, how roads ruined cities, and highway workers who didn’t “look like” the people they serve.

Meanwhile, the existing shortage of air traffic controllers worsened because of his DEI, commercial truckers became dangerously incompetent, air traffic hardware and software became hopelessly obsolete and dangerous, and using most public transit became a disgusting experience.

I think he has some purpose, but providing government service is not it. He should be an obscure professor in an obscure field.

Fake as hell, right?

It's like calling yourself a gun owner when you want to weigh on firearms policy and speak as an authority, when in fact you live in Florida and keep your shotgun on your brother's farm in Indiana.

Are you just starting to realize that politicians are fake and pander to the electorate?  Wait until you find out that the electorate eats it up from those who want to represent their tribe.  It'll blow your mind, professor.

I have been, since the late 1960s, when my Dad got me a .410.  Well, first got me a Crossman BB/pellet gun at age 6, but I don't count that

when you want to weigh on firearms policy and speak as an authority

Link? Utter bullshit from you (not surprising).  If anything I openly admit that I know next to nothing about AR15-style rifles used in most mass shootings, and next to nothing about 3D printed ghost guns (a growing problem),  and I plead to people who know much more about them than I do to define them so access can be restricted, at least to mentally challenged (which may include bizarre stalkers like you).

Are you just starting to realize that politicians are fake and pander to the electorate?

Trying to be all things to all people is the norm, but faking your life history is a step further.  But indeed morons like you willingly eat it up. Trump is Jesus 2.0 and cares about the poor.  Sure.

It wasn't me.  I wouldn't ever have that much dirty cash on me.  It makes me want to regurgitate looking at it. Only good for tipping strippers and buying white castles.  Just filth.
