@boogie We need to listen to what they are saying. A couple of weeks ago Trump said Republicans "need to take over the voting" in at least 15 places. (His spin doctors/gaslighters then claimed that what he really meant was that we should have national voter ID). His puppet Noem recently stated that we need the "right people" electing the "right leaders." Trump won't let 2020 go and keeps lying about voter fraud. He wants to "nationalize" elections and is otherwise sticking his nose into elections where he has absolutely no authority. And Bondi will go to bat for him on everything he wants, irrespective of merit. All of this is, of course, unprecedented and anti-democratic. A strongman regime is taking root. People gotta say no to this bullshit.

What does “equal” mean in this context? No they’re not the exact same thing.
I suppose whether they’re equally unjust would depend on the content of the shit post. Just like all 1/6 defendants weren’t equal in their offenses but were caught in the drag net nonetheless.

Trump would have been convicted on Jack Smith's airtight Jan 6 indictment if he hadn't been reelected and the prosecution had gone forward. How do we know that? For many reasons, including what Mike Pence (who lived the experience) said the day after the indictment was handed up:
"I think it’s important that the American people know what happened in the days before January 6,” Pence said. “President Trump demanded that I use my authority as vice president presiding over the count of the Electoral College to essentially overturn the election by returning or literally rejecting votes. I had no authority to do that.”
For those who might doubt him, Pence urged them to “read the indictment.”
There is a very strong probability that he would have been convicted in the election interference case.
