MAGA follower. He was anti-mormon and he acted on his worst instincts. Why? Because he had an assault rifle of course.
I'm not so sure I agree in this instance. First off, I am fine with assault rifle bans. But, this guy literally had a bunch of explosives on top of using gasoline and setting his truck ablaze once it was inside or partially inside the church.
Someone like this is likely to be McVeigh or Ted K. than someone deterred by not having an assault rifle.
Fair enough argument, but I would simply counter by saying that the incident resulted in deaths from the shooting. And also, his weapon of choice was the assault rifle. It isn't like he was planting bombs and just using the gun to stop anyone who caught him.
The big issue is how many people are killed by shootings. Particularly, innocent people. Gun control measures will quell shootings and decrease the number of deaths per shooting incident.
