If orders were given in the Chain of command from CinC to operation commander to kill any survivors from the initial attack, is that a crime? Yes or no?

Yes. I we convicted a UBoat commander who saw Greek survivors on debris. He ordered the debris destroyed so passing planes would not know a UBoat was in the vicinity. In doing so several Greek sailors were killed as the debris they relied on to stay afloat was gone

It would be VERY difficult to say that was a war crime and the most recent was not with any real integrity. I think the captain was Eick or something like that

to be clear, the ship was no longer operational or they were on life rafts? I don’t know the details of the circumstances

if reporting is correct, the boat was destroyed and they were just hanging on to debris to stay afloat and survive.

"CNN and The Washington Post reported that on Sept. 2, the U.S. struck a vessel it accused of trafficking drugs off the coast of Venezuela a second time, killing the remaining survivors of its initial attack."

Godless, atheist, American leftists, such as the OP, prefer a hundred-thousand American kids overdose on fentanyl rather than ONE cartel terrorist be killed.

With that said, CNN & WaPo are parrots of the Deep State and lie about everything.

I had time this morning to look up the story, from the Wiki:

Heinz-Wilhelm Eck (27 March 1916 – 30 November 1945) was a German U-boat commander of the Second World War who was tried, convicted, condemned and executed after the war for ordering his crew to shoot the survivors of a Greek merchantman sunk by U-852.

Robert Johnson (A WWII P 47 Ace) writes about killing a Luftwaffe pilot while attempting to parachute from his crippled fighter.  Johnson wrote that by killing an experienced pilot he was saving future B 17 crews.  War crime?

Your wording leaves interpretation. If he was still in the plane, he is not covered while preparing to parachute. Once outside the plane, an airman is 100% protected.

Here is a great answer:

No. The answer is no.

The reason of the prohibition to shoot on parachuting pilots is that it is forbitten to open the fire on defenseless people. Look to "Convetion of Geneva" and "Land War regulations of Den Haag".

To come under this potection the pilot must mark hisself with a colored parachute (white, orange or others). If he use a green or olive or other kind camoflaged parachute he marks hisself as airborne ranger and shooting on airborne rangers is allowed.

https://www.wearethemighty.com/popular/this-is-why-its-actually-illegal-to-shoot-at-pilots-whove-bailed-out/

You said "attempting to parachute." If inside the plane, not a defenseless enemy. If outside, a defenseless enemy.

I'd vote yes. It seems like some people in this administration are doing everything they can to fulfill a real life cliche bad guy role in just about every action movie based on a military connection.

What if it didn’t happen? Free pass for everyone who made up the story?

I think you need to find a different hoax.  There were no survivors.

Give him time. He will find more. TDS gone wild.

Saving our country by blowing up boats that can't make it to the US...

What's your defense of the pardon for the Honduran president since we're in a war of drugs?

I doubt you'll answer without a tweet.
