Well, I guess as long as Jews aren't doing the killing, who cares?Seems there ought to be, but they're not motivated like they were in 1979. Of course, there were the US hostages to get pissed about.

Probably closer to 20,000 protesters and 500 soldiers
Everyone reputable seems to be sticking with 2K for now.

But this is serious business, folks. The Iranian government might genuinely be in trouble.
I'm torn on what Trump should do. I feel like the US only makes matters worse when the meddle. But if the protesters actually succeed in putting the regime on the brink, we have to support them in some way, right? Bombing won't help. But we have to be ready to swoop in with economic, humanitarian, logistical assistance the second they need/want it.
Broker a regime change? Hopefully we have intelligence assets. Offer them money to help identify and get the worst leaders, nab 'em or kill them with plausible deniability, and do what you say, too?Everyone reputable seems to be sticking with 2K for now.

@bradstevens I don't know which of your replies you're going to keep, but, yes, I'm fine with clandestine operations to assist. In fact, I think that would be brilliant. I am hesitant to support more overt help. I don't think publicly inserting ourselves in the transition does any good in the long run, especially if it involves bombs and missile strikes. But if we have a guy who can put a few rifle rounds in a few select heads, that would be just dandy.
I need some some extra treatment on a root canal and the previous Dr. has moved back to his home state in Pacific NW. I'd like to thank Iran for my new Endodontist at ATX Endodontics. She is amazing.
