This is Trump's chief spiritual advisor. Gives me serious Gwen Walz vibes. And yes, she is on her 3rd marriage.

I'd let her hit it.
I sense a match made in heaven
I don't think i've seen a bigger piece of red meat lobbed into this forum in a while. Good Luck @gthomas@carramrod You can debate the legitimacy of the "brain" statement if wish, but that sentence is structurally sound. Tough crowd.
And you're correct; I'm not an English "teacher." Maybe a professor and soon-to-be published author, but not a teacher; that label is reserved someone without a PhD.
Godspeed.

A good friend will bail you out of jail, but your best friend will be sitting next to you in the cell saying "that was f***ing awesome"
I think this might be a free link to it:That's one of my favorite that they've done. You can be religious and realize that for a government of different minded people to work, you want government separate from religion.
As an aside, I just recently listened to the RIH series on Martin Luther. I thought Holland's remarks about secularism being the intellectual descendent of the Reformation were quite thought-provoking.
If you've never listened to Hardcore History, go find the one on Munster during the Reformation--Prophets of Doom. Incredible.
I will check it out.

Can't wait to spend half of my day (literally) listening to Dan instead of doing my job
English teachers are Karens.
On the subject of Karens, I present Karen core.

Actually Christian Nationalism refers to a particular kind of Christian. I’ve pushed back— hard—against my Pastor about a sermon discussing Christian Nationalism. Her response was that she chose to water down the meaning so much that it really meant nothing.
The ELCA has put out an official statement about Christian Nationalism, which includes an expressed objection to merging Christian views with civic affairs. We discussed this in a class where we discussed the use of ELCA Social Statements, which are intended as a guide in our civic lives. It quickly became obvious that the objection to Christian Nationalism was about certain kinds of Christians holding certain kinds of beliefs.
When I attempted to move the discussion to the concept of natural rights “endowed by our creator” we had to change the subject because of other material to be discussed.

Your sarcasm detector seems to be malfunctioning.
Maybe he should have kept the agreement with Iran that Obama had orchestrated.
Agreement? Obama went tits up with the Mullahs and said he reached an “agreement”. He was desperate.
Well, that's the dumb partisan take. The other countries all supported that agreement but because your lord and savior said it was bad, you say it was bad. And you wonder why people think MAGA has no ability to actually think for themselves.
Thanks for sharing.
Are you able to make a cogent argument in favor of the JCPOA other than those with a pecuniary interest in it gave it support?
Why do you continue to try to play these games of semantics? The distinction you just made simply reframes the view from within the Christian community instead of from without. It does nothing to further the discussion or support any of the arguments you've been trying in vain to make.
That is all makes sense. But I don’t think separating sectarian and secular is a product of the Reformation. It seems to me the Reformation was more a push back of overreaching Papal authority.
The separation wasn’t complete. We still ate fish sticks in the public school cafeteria on Fridays when I was a kid.
Not at all. I think I’ve shown how elusive and meaningless the whole notion of Christian Nationalism is. It’s simply another and opportunistic way to express criticism without adding substance.

I think all you've done is deflect and avoid the ample substance I've provided.
