I disagree. The Senate was always going to be difficult for Democrats to win. If this ends in several days the GOP would still probably be favored to win in the betting markets.

Beats me. The heavy hand of the U.S. is showing up in different ways in different places. Seems like Trump is determined to make some places in the world better without involving those who hate him and who oppose everything he does. That is no excuse. If we can’t come together on a hockey gold medal, we certainly won’t come together on Venezuela, Mexico, Iran, Minnesota, California, or where ever is next. Our ability agree on controversial policy is a relic of the past.
Trump is well beyond giving a shit what his detractors think.
