@ohio-guy i'll put my money on a religious "revival" benefitting society any day of the week. i hvae no idea if god exists. i hope far more than i believe. but mass. community. family. is far better for society than trannies single moms and all the rest
@ohio-guy just made the decision this weekend that we're sending our minion to christian school for grade school. not public. sad that we have to do it but the lefty teachers are simply too insane. church. school. good.

I think an actual move toward compassionate religious teachings would definitely be a net positive for society. I've never knocked religion. I did 16 years of Catholic school and feel that I'm better off for it.
That said, I'm highly skeptical of anything religious with Trump driving the bus. He is constantly reminding us that he has no interest in following any type of religious teachings and has constantly talked about retribution, screwing people over and hating his adversaries. If I had a problem with Charlie Kirk - and those like him - it's that they used religion and Christian faith to justify their support and defense of Trump.
@ohio-guy oh yeah trump is a horrible example/guy to lead a back to church movement. comically bad in fact
@spartans9312 This isn't necessarily directed at you, but I keep seeing that line about 'they have no idea what they've unleashed.'
I'll be honest, I'm not sure who 'they' are or what is being is being referred to. I knew of Charlie Kirk, but outside of the clips everyone is debating these days, I didn't know too much about him.
That said, a religious revival or movement with Trump anywhere at or near the helm isn't a good thing or something that should be cheered on. I do know Trump is a liar, grifter and a conman. Anyone who doubles down their faith in a movement supporting or led by him is eventually going to be severely let down.
Sounds like someone could use an autographed copy of the Trump Bible.

My one regret about moving away from Maryland was my kids' school there. They were in Catholic school and it was a great community. They're both in college now and their elementary, middle and high school experience turned out fine, but the thought of 'what if we never left' does cross my mind from time to time.

Ha!
Do any of you know anyone who actually purchased a Trump Bible?
For the life of me I don’t understand what people see it Christian Rock. I don’t think I’ve ever heard a good Christian Rock song.
Looked like a great memorial otherwise

I'm with you on this one.
To each his/her own, but I don't get the whole 'rock' scene in church either. A woman I dated took me to a service at her church and it was essentially a quasi-rock show. I fully admit that I probably had trouble relating because it's not what I grew up with, but it just seemed off.
A guy I went to high school with seems to know a lot of people in the rock music circuit. He's always posting pictures of him with Christian rock bands around the midwest. He seems happy - I just don't get it though.

I think they think it helps keep the younger people coming and engaged.
For what it's worth, Lenny Kravitz said he tried to write a rock song from the perspective of Jesus Christ with this one:
Needless to say none of Lenny Kravitz, Doobie Brothers, or The Byrds are Christian Rock.
