IMO, it’s past time for further examination of this ideology.
The two hate each other, despite not being that far apart considering Trump's prior Democratic alignment. One is a populist with a right-slanted following; the other is a center-left technocrat - even though you could argue Trump is one himself, he views Carney as part of the swamp equivalent in Canada.
They did have a positive conversation recently, despite Trump's stupid bridge threats according to this.
@jdb Carney could learn a lesson or two from Starmer and Macron on how to manage Trump’s ego.

@bulk-vh Mass shooters aren’t created in a vacuum. Ignoring the underlying ideology is dumb. Even if it might be inconvenient to some political narratives.
If you believe that one not acknowledging your Trans identity is an attack on your very existence, it’s not a far cry from someone who believes they are being ethnically replaced.
There are some indicators that most mass shooters share. That’s worthy of discussion as well, but doesn’t negate my point.
Any attempt to negate it, is simply cowardice or bad faith bullshit.

From a mental state perspective, probably. You have to be insane to do what these people have done. But, from what I've read (limited, so feel free to correct me), it doesn't seem like there is that much of a correlation between mental illness and this type of violence. If there were, as the percentage of depressed, anxious, etc. people continues to rise, you would expect an even greater amount of these events. And plenty with high acuity of mental illness never commit such atrocities.
There does seem to be some data that supports the abnormality of Trans mass shootings relative to the population.
