The rest of the animal kingdom, those not allowing themselves to be controlled by their lucky peers in a fiat bullying organized "culture", already have this figured out.

House Sparrow parents, discover an ill or mutated hatchling... IT GONE !

Cattle Egret's hatch and within minutes to hours, find the weakest link in their family... IT GONE.

Humans feed their ill for life. I'm Just sayin it out loud.

If they find a gay screen test to determine if a baby will be gay, would hard core anti-abortion folks decide it’s OK to abort babies in that case?

It’s a lifestyle. There isn’t a test for such a thing

if we can see glaciers on Pluto, there is no doubt we can determine what causes disease, mental illness, sexual orientation, etc.

That would lead to conversations that aren’t allowed in society today.

It’s a lifestyle

It's a set of behaviors under genetic influences. Like there are genetic drivers for athletic ability, hand-eye coordination, height, or for unwanted traits such as diabetes, obesity, Alzheimer's, or the simple stupidity we see in MAGA-leaning families.

Simple observation.  If you are an identical twin and your twin is gay, there is a 50-65% chance that you will be gay.  Not a 100% chance.  But way above the average chance for sharing that behavior among non-twins (3-10%). This holds true even for twins that were separated at birth and raised in different households.  Explain that finding without invoking an inherited, genetic component to adopting that behavior.

Having a twin is not a lifestyle CHOICE

Of course not, duh...

Identical twins have the same genes at birth.

Having the same genes at birth raises dramatically the likelihood of sharing certain behaviors, lifestyles, aptitudes, and deficits.

Having the same genes at birth raises dramatically the likelihood of being gay, if your twin is gay, even if you didn't grow up knowing your twin and were raised separately. Not to 100%. But still a dramatic increase in prevalence.

This shouldn't be so complicated to understand.

It’s a lifestyle choice. Just like Lars and the “big” women…he made a choice.

It’s a lifestyle choice.

...and genetics contribute to a propensity to make certain lifestyle choices

If your parents are racist MAGA morons, maybe you are more likely to be a racist MAGA moron, even if your parents gave you up for adoption and Bernie Sanders raised you.

It’s no wonder your dad and brothers kicked you off the farm. Social misfit who couldn’t work.

My late father and late brother didn't kick me off.  I was just not as into farming as they were.  Considering the value of farmland these days, it would have been a good retirement strategy though.  My brother's widow is I think cashing in soon and selling the farm where I grew up.  One of them anyway.  I grew up on a dairy farm and the family also had a pig farm. Dad sold the dairy farm when I was 17, built a house on the pig farm, then got out of pig farming and just did crops. Since Mom & dad dies and it was hit by tornadoes twice, destroying most outbuildings, I don't go back very much.  I do need to check with my sister-in-law about retrieving my guns that are presumably still there.

You choose whom you have sex with. You do not choose whom you are sexually attracted to. This should be common sense. But even if it weren't common sense, we have tons of studies proving it.

I don’t think it’s common sense at all.  Behaviors might be the product of our subconsciousness, in which case we don’t seem to be in control, but is that really true?  Impulsiveness, pain, pleasure, long term, short term, peer influence, and much more control our myriad of behaviors.  And the forces that dominate decisions and behaviors change over time, maybe even minute by minute.

Our brains are incredibly complex.  Everything we do is a result of that complexity.

Well if you're going to deny free will exists, that just means Spartan is even more wrong.
